Kurgan Closes Road Near Marriage Registry After Water Main Accident

A section of Rikhard Zorge Street in Kurgan, Russia, is closed from 11:00 on 27 January due to a water main break, with the road expected to reopen by the end of the week.

In Kurgan, today, 27 January, from 11:00, a section of Rikhard Zorge Street will be closed, from the intersection with Koli Myagotin Street to house number 7, according to the press service of the Water Union.

The company explains that an accident occurred on the 700 mm diameter cold water supply network on Zorge Street. To fix it, vehicle traffic will be prohibited, and cold water supply will be temporarily cut off. The list of houses affected by the cold water shutoff:

Crews will start work today and continue until the emergency situation is fully resolved. The excavation will be fenced off, and appropriate signs will be placed around the perimeter. Road restoration in the «winter» version will be completed by 30 January.
