Krasnoyarsk fuel gap reaches 72 rubles

The gap between the cheapest and most expensive gasoline stations in Krasnoyarsk has doubled to 72 rubles per liter in two weeks, with prices ranging from 62.89 to 135 rubles for 92-octane.

For the same 92-octane gasoline in Krasnoyarsk today, prices range from 62.89 to 135 rubles ($1 to $2). NGS24.RU looked at the price tags not only on Yandex.Gas Stations but also on the websites of the chains themselves to find out where cheap fuel is still available.

The cheapest place to refuel is at Gazprom Neft. The chain has uniform prices across the city, only the assortment differs: some stations don«t have 100-octane, some don»t have diesel.

AI-92 — 62.89 rubles ($1)
AI-95 — 67.48 rubles ($1)
G-95 — 69.48 rubles ($1)
G-100 — 91.46 rubles ($1)
Summer diesel — 83.42 rubles ($1)

Rosneft is almost on par. The chain«s prices are also uniform across the city.

AI-92 — 62.95 rubles ($1)

Diesel — 83.25 rubles ($1)

Over the week, almost nothing changed at both chains. On 12 July, NGS24.RU wrote that 92-octane at the federal players stayed within 63 rubles ($1) and 95-octane did not exceed 70 rubles ($1). So it remains.

Then comes the divergence. Lukoil charges different prices for 92-octane even at neighboring stations, while the rest matches.

AI-92 — 75.40 and 77.40 rubles ($1 each)
AI-95 — 82.40 rubles ($1)
Premium diesel — 101.90 rubles ($1)

At KNP (Krasnoyarsknefteprodukt), according to Yandex.Gas Stations, prices have risen noticeably.

AI-92 — 82.90 rubles ($1)
AI-95 — 86.90 rubles ($1)
Diesel — 98.50 rubles ($1)

This is a sharp jump for the chain. As recently as 6 July, 92-octane here cost 73.50 rubles ($1).

A separate story is the Opti Partner chain, whose prices are published on the Gazprom Neft website. The figures vary so much from station to station that it is difficult to compare with regular retail.

AI-92 — from 96.90 to 115 and 125 rubles ($1 to $1 each)
AI-95 — from 98.90 to 129 rubles ($1 to $1)
AI-98 — 145 rubles ($2)
Summer diesel — from 99.90 to 130.50 rubles ($1 to $2)
Winter diesel — 81.15 rubles ($1)

Winter diesel at Opti turns out cheaper than summer diesel at the federal chains, while 92-octane at different points of the same chain differs by 28 rubles ($0).

The most expensive prices in the city, as two weeks ago, are at Olmala. At the gas station on Volzhskaya Street, they are as follows:

AI-92 — 135 rubles ($2)
AI-95 — 140 rubles ($2)
AI-98 — 145 rubles ($2)
Diesel — 130 rubles ($1)

92-octane here is 72 rubles ($1) more expensive than at Gazprom Neft. Two weeks ago it cost 97.90 rubles ($1) at Olmala, meaning the chain raised the price by almost 37 rubles ($0).

Another notable change. In NGS24.RU’s collections from 4 and 6 July, there were prices from Achinskneft and Region 24. Now they are not found on Yandex.Gas Stations. Earlier in the month, Region 24 told NGS24.RU that they were forced to buy fuel on the exchange from resellers and admitted that stations might have to be frozen.

How quickly this happened can be seen from Krasnoyarskstat data. For five months, prices in the city stood still: from January to the end of May, the average liter of 92-octane rose by five kopecks, and diesel even fell. Then in a month and a half, from 25 May to 13 July, average prices looked like this:

AI-92 — from 62.52 to 72.56 rubles (plus 10 rubles; $1 to $1, plus $0)
AI-95 — from 66.53 to 76.80 rubles (plus 10 rubles; $1 to $1)
AI-98 and above — from 89.90 to 97.76 rubles (plus almost 8 rubles; $1 to $1, plus $0)
Diesel — from 81.69 to 90.01 rubles (plus 8 rubles; $1 to $1, plus $0)

Moreover, the acceleration continues: in just the week from 6 to 13 July, 92-octane became more expensive by 3.29%. These are the latest available statistics.

What this means in practice. A full tank of 92-octane of 50 liters at Gazprom Neft will cost about 3,144 rubles ($36), at Lukoil — 3,770 rubles ($43), at KNP — 4,145 rubles ($48), and at Olmala — 6,750 rubles ($78). The difference between the cheapest and most expensive station in the city is 3,606 rubles ($41) per fill-up. Two weeks ago, the same gap was 1,750 rubles ($20).
