Krasnodar Builds Two Overpasses on Volodarskogo by 2028
In Krasnodar, a two-level interchange is being built to connect Tikhoretskaya, Volodarskogo, and Shevchenko streets. Work began in summer 2025, and currently, engineering utilities are being relocated, and specialists are constructing supports for the two overpasses. The first will connect the road on Tikhoretskaya with Volodarskogo, the second is an exit from Tikhoretskaya onto Shevchenko.
Mayor Yevgeny Naumov visited the construction site on the morning of February 5 and called the project a legacy for many decades to come. He emphasized the importance of communicating with local residents, including on landscaping issues. The fact is that some trees had to be removed, so according to the official, new ones need to be planted this spring.
A representative of the contractor said that on Shevchenko Street, storm sewer and power supply networks are being rearranged, followed by gas supply networks. Communication lines have already been relaid, and on 1st Korolenko Drive, the gas pipeline is being re-laid. Work will soon begin on Volodarskogo Street.
«Construction of two supports for the future interchange is also underway. They are currently being built near the railway tracks on Tikhoretskaya Street,» said the press service of the city administration.
During construction, Volodarskogo Street from Kuznechnaya to Korolenko will also be reconstructed, as well as Korolenko, Shmidta, 1st Korolenko Drive, Tikhoretskaya, and Shevchenko streets.
The work is being carried out by the company of ZSK (Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Krai) deputy Alexander Karpenko, LLC StroyYugRegion. This company previously built the Yablonovsky Bridge and completed the underground passage on Krasnykh Partizan. The cost is 4 billion 468 million rubles (approximately $44.7 million at current rates). The construction is to be completed by 30 April 2028.
Recall that the Prosecutor General«s Office filed an anti-corruption lawsuit, with one of the defendants being current ZSK deputy Alexander Karpenko. The agency considers him a participant in a scheme to «seize road construction projects» in Krasnodar Krai, acting in concert with deputies Voronovsky and Doroshenko.
