Kiev Direction Trains Stalled Near Ozhigovo for 20 Minutes

A failure has occurred on the Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway. According to passengers, movement is hampered on the section between Nara and Bekasovo-1. At some stations, trains are standing for 20 minutes.

«We just went to Bekasovo station. We stood for about 20 minutes near Ozhigovo,» said Denis.

Administrators of specialized Telegram chats reported that the cause of the failure was damage to a wire on the section. The press service of the Moscow Railway (MZhD) denied this information to MSK1.RU.

«Due to deteriorating weather conditions, train movement on the section between Nara and Bekasovo-1 is being carried out on one track in reverse mode. As a result, suburban trains on long-distance routes of the Kiev direction are running with deviations from the schedule in both directions,» stated the MZhD.

The organization apologized to passengers for the inconvenience caused. An announcement that trains on the Kiev direction are delayed also appeared on the service «Yandex Schedules».

«Possible delays in train arrivals and further departures on rotation, as well as route shortenings and unscheduled cancellations,» indicated in the message.

Updated at 20:21: railway workers restored train movement on the section between Nara and Bekasovo-1 on both tracks.

«All measures are being taken to stabilize the schedule of suburban trains on long-distance routes of the Kiev direction,» added the MZhD press service.
