Kazan Red Buses Nearly Left Without Diesel Fuel
Kazan's red buses nearly ran out of diesel due to a fuel price spike, but were allocated a separate filling station to ensure stable operation.

Kazan buses were without diesel for some time due to a price spike. Suppliers who brought fuel to depots could not fulfill their obligations. This was reported by Deputy Head of the Executive Committee Ildar Shakirov at a Monday business meeting.
The red buses had to queue at regular gas stations. This problem affected 40% of Kazan«s bus fleet (about 250 vehicles). The other buses run on natural gas, and no refueling issues arose.
«Thanks to the TAIF Group: they allocated us a separate filling station, where both buses and special equipment of all city services began refueling. This ensured their stable operation. Currently, the rush is subsiding. We very much hope that we will be able to return to normal operations soon,» added Shakirov.
Earlier, our editorial office reported on the concerns of intercity carriers. They refuel at public stations, so drivers have to «hunt» for empty gas stations during their routes. According to the carriers, passengers react with understanding. Companies do not rule out price increases amid the fuel crisis.
