Kazan Airport issues passenger notice amid booking system failure

Flight check-in systems at Kazan Airport experienced technical limitations on Tuesday.
At Kazan Airport, one of the passenger and baggage check-in systems is operating in a limited mode. This was reported by the press service of the air harbor. As noted by the press service, the reasons for the limitations are not related to the operation of the airport«s IT equipment.
“The service provider is already taking measures to restore the system’s operation as soon as possible,” the airport reported.
Employees of the air hub and representatives of airlines are doing everything necessary to send flights according to schedule; an alternative check-in system is currently in use.
Up-to-date information on the flight schedule can be obtained from the airport information desk, the online board, the Telegram bot, and the airport’s mobile application. According to the board, flights from St. Petersburg and Moscow are currently experiencing minor delays on arrival.
Today, a global booking system failure occurred. Rosaviatsiya (the Federal Air Transport Agency) reported that it has enhanced monitoring of aircraft operations to minimize the impact of the difficulties that arose in the Leonardo system on the flight schedule.
Recall that last week, Kazan residents had to spend the night at the airport due to a delay in a flight to Phuket. Some were given mats—they were able to lie down and sleep, while others settled on benches. After 13 hours, they finally departed for their vacation.
