Illegal closure of Gospitalnaya Street in Omsk

In Omsk, Gospitalnaya Street was illegally closed. This happened in the area of the Frunzensky Bridge interchange. The cause was the construction of an underground pipeline, as reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate (GIBDD).
On 4 February at around 12:00, during the construction of the underground pipeline, the contractor blocked the specified section and installed concrete blocks. However, according to the approved traffic management plan for the period of temporary restrictions, the closure period was no more than 10 days from 1 January 2026 to 11 January 2026, the inspectorate noted.
Administrative proceedings were initiated against the organization under the article «Failure to comply with road safety requirements during construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of roads, railway crossings or other road structures.» The violators face a fine of 20,000 to 300,000 rubles ($222 to $3,300 at current exchange rates).
