Until 14:00 on January 27, a heating point has been deployed at the 134 km mark of the M-8 Moscow — Kholmogory highway in Pereslavl-Zalessky. It was set up as early as January 23. This decision was made due to sudden cold snaps. The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) for Yaroslavl Region shared photos of the heating point.

“The mobile heating point is equipped with a potbelly stove, an autonomous power source, areas for eating, providing medical aid, a sanitary unit, and rest areas,” said the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) for Yaroslavl Region.

Drivers and passengers caught in traffic jams can turn to the heating points. As reported by MChS, here one can get water, food, and essential items. Rescuers are on duty at the site.

“If necessary, a point will be deployed in the Rostovsky district,” noted the department.

Recall that residents of Yaroslavl Region were warned about the cold snap. Frosts are expected until January 26, after which forecasters promise a slight warming. In case of an emergency, help can be sought by calling 112.
