Tula Region Governor Dmitry Milyaev proposed paying officials 86% of their salary during a government working meeting.
The proposal was made in the context of assessing the efficiency of the region«s public transport.
Thus, officials reported that transport is working normally, with 86% efficiency. The head of the region countered this by saying that «normal» is 100%.
In case public transport operates at 86% of maximum efficiency, the head of the region proposed also paying officials 86% of their salary.
The governor also emphasized that officials need to take administrative measures against Tula carriers to improve efficiency.
The governor also suggested that officials stand at public transport stops and assess the conditions in which Tula residents live themselves. He emphasized that in that case, it would hardly be possible to explain problems by a lack of drivers and the technical condition of transport.
