Gagarin Avenue duplicate construction advances in Nizhny Novgorod
In Nizhny Novgorod, data on the construction of the city«s first toll road has been updated. The Telegram channel »ProStrategy« reported on the stage of work for building the duplicate of Gagarin Avenue, citing information from the regional Ministry of Transport.
The second phase of the Gagarin Avenue duplicate is nearly 38% complete for the first stage and 61% for the second. The third phase is 52% complete.
Specialists have reconfigured most of the communication networks, water mains, and gas pipelines. Simultaneously, they are installing power supply and lighting poles, laying foundations for transformer substations, road sign supports, and bases for noise barriers.
As part of the third phase, a flyover over the R-158 highway (Nizhny Novgorod — Saratov) has been built and opened for technical traffic. In the first stage of the second phase, the span structure of a flyover over the Olgino — Bolshaya Yelnya road has been installed.
Currently, preparations are also advancing for the construction of the interchange between the duplicate and Larina Street. In the near future, they will start building a bypass road for the duration of the works.
The toll duplicate is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2029. As noted by the Ministry of Transport, concessions will be provided for residents of settlements adjacent to the road—preferential tariffs or free passage.
