Fuel Situation Improves in Voronezh Region

Suppliers have begun reducing downtime at Voronezh gas stations, the regional government«s press service reported.

As of the morning of July 20, AI-92 gasoline was available at nearly 64% of filling stations in the region, AI-95 at more than 54%, and diesel at over 76%. The average price per liter from federal suppliers remained virtually unchanged, but local chains, where prices more than doubled over the past month, have begun to slightly reduce costs. The regional government assured that specialists from the UFAS (Federal Antimonopoly Service) are monitoring the situation and working with the management of these companies.

According to representatives of the largest chains, the hours of unrestricted fuel sales at stations have increased, and logistics are slowly improving. In fuel deliveries, priority is given to urban gas stations, but before the weekend more attention will be paid to stations near federal highways.

At the same time, restrictions on fuel sales per customer and into containers remain in the Voronezh region. However, one chain has already increased the limit for gasoline sales on the highway to 50 liters, and another has begun selling up to 40 liters per tank in Voronezh as well. The regional government did not specify the names of the fuel companies. According to suppliers, the rush at gas stations has begun to subside, as has the average queue length.
