Flight delay strands Volgograd passengers overnight at airport

On the evening of January 21, passengers set to fly from Volgograd to Dubai were forced to spend the night at the airport.
The flight delay is linked to temporary restrictions imposed by Rosaviatsia (the Federal Air Transport Agency) at Stalingrad Airport. The restrictions followed the declaration of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) threat in Volgograd Oblast, where, according to the Ministry of Defense, four UAVs were shot down.
According to online display information, the flight, scheduled for 11:20 PM on January 21, was rescheduled to 5:00 PM on January 22. The total delay exceeded 17.5 hours.
Last weekend, a similar situation occurred with passengers of a charter flight to Hurghada. They waited for departure for over a day and complained of severe cold in the waiting area, forcing some to spend the night in restrooms.
