First Samara Flight to Resort with No Sirens

On Sunday, July 19, the first plane departed from Kurumoch International Airport to the capital of Abkhazia, Sukhumi.

“The flight was fully booked,” — said representatives of the airport.

Flights on this route are operated by Nordwind Airlines using Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 189 seats. At the end of July, the number of flights will double: Ural Airlines will also begin operating on the route.

“Flights to Sukhumi operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays,” the press service of the Samara airport said.

The flight duration to the capital of Abkhazia (Babushara Airport) is 2 hours 25 minutes.

A ticket for July 22 costs 24,997 rubles ($278 at current rates). On Sunday, July 26, it is cheaper: 17,297 rubles ($192).

On Wednesday, July 29, you can get to Sukhumi for 15,152 rubles ($168). Tickets for Sunday, August 2, also cost 15,152 rubles ($168).
