Extended Tram Route 7 Stalls on Stroitely Street in Perm

On the morning of February 2, trams came to a halt on Stroitely Street in Perm. Vehicles on Route 7, which had just begun operating to the Krasny Oktyabr stop instead of Route 3 that day, got stuck halfway to their terminus. Permgorelectrotrans explained to 59.RU what caused the issue.

From February 2, tram routes 3 and 7 in Perm were temporarily merged. The transport department made this change to provide a direct link between the Zaimka district and downtown Perm until the completion of the reconstruction of the line on Chernyshevsky Street, after which Route 3 will resume service there. However, tram traffic on Stroitely Street was paralyzed this morning.
59.RU received a comment on the situation from MUP Permgorelectrotrans, the city«s public transport utility.
«One of the tram cars encountered technical issues while on the line. Consequently, tram movement on that section was restricted. The company»s emergency team quickly arrived at the scene to carry out repairs,« 59.RU was told by Permgorelectrotrans (PGET).
At 08:45, a detour was set up for other Route 7 trams via the Krasny Oktyabr depot. By approximately 09:30, tram service on Stroitely Street was back to normal.
Previously, we reported that Tram Route 8 was altered because of reconstruction work on Sibirskaya Street.
