Eight-Point Traffic Jams Paralyze Novosibirsk Roads

Heavy traffic jams formed in Novosibirsk on the morning of January 26. The traffic situation on the city«s roads is rated at eight points out of ten, according to the 2GIS mapping service.

The service reports that movement is difficult in various districts. Jams have gripped sections of Gusinobrodskoye Highway, Tankovaya Street, Kedrovaya Street, 1st Mochishchenskoye Highway, and other roads.

A major backup also formed on Bolshevistskaya Street near the Kamy shenskaya station, with eyewitnesses reporting a traffic accident. The length of this jam exceeds four kilometers, warns the Yandex Maps service.

Traffic jams also formed on Oktyabrsky Bridge and on Vatutina, Stanislavskogo, Stantsionnaya, and Petukhova streets, as well as on Sovetskoye Highway.

In early January, trams in Novosibirsk got stuck in a jam due to a car on the tracks.
