On January 22, the Eastern Exit in Ufa will be closed for repairs. This was announced by the Ministry of Transport of Bashkortostan. Automotive traffic will also be halted during the work.

“Traffic will be blocked in all directions. Entrances from Salavat Yulaev Avenue, the federal road M-5 ‘Ural’, and near the village of Fedorovka will be closed,” stated the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

As officials explained, it is necessary to install structures for automated traffic control system elements at the site. The work will last only five hours – from 00:00 to 05:00.

Recall that the Eastern Exit in Ufa was opened almost two years ago, although the idea for its construction arose back in 1992. The work was delayed due to a lack of funding, and ultimately, tens of billions of rubles (hundreds of millions of dollars at current rates) were invested in the project. To compensate for the costs, the passage was made toll until 2042. Since its opening, the exit has been closed several times to carry out repair work.
