Drivers Allowed to Appeal Fines for Gas Station Queue Parking
Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can now contest fines for parking under "No Stopping" signs if the violations occurred while waiting in lines at gas stations, the regional police said.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) for the Nizhny Novgorod Region stated that decisions to cancel fines will be made after receiving citizens« appeals. This concerns fines for similar traffic violations.
«If a citizen who has been issued an administrative penalty order for a similar traffic offense appeals, decisions will be made on each such order to cancel it, taking into account its insignificance or the fact that the driver acted under conditions of extreme necessity,» the police explained.
Recall that last week an interactive map was launched in the region, showing real-time fuel availability and queue lengths at gas stations. The map has already been tested by journalists.
