“At the intersection of 1st Yeniseyskaya and Krupskaya streets, past the traffic light, in the direction from 3rd Ostrovskaya to Krupskaya, there is a pavement defect in the form of a rut that can lead to accidents,” motorists report in the public group «Emergency Omsk».

As Omsk residents report, a rut has formed in the asphalt on this section, causing cars to be thrown into the oncoming lane or veer onto the shoulder. Therefore, drivers must pass through there at minimal speed and with extreme caution.

The reconstruction of Krupskaya and 3rd Ostrovskaya streets in 2020 was handled by the company Stroytrast, which is currently repairing the bridge near the Television Center. The cost of work on the roadway amounted to about a billion rubles (approximately $10 million at current rates), which is why the thoroughfare received the unofficial nickname «billion-ruble road». After a few years, a rut formed on the roadway, which now leads to accidents.
