«The crowd was already there around 09:00. We stood for 40 minutes in the cold and never left,» wrote one female passenger on MCD-4.

«Everything toward Moscow is cancelled. Today you can neither leave nor return from there, just like yesterday,» complained a passenger on MCD-3.

There were many such dissatisfied people in the morning. As explained by the press service of the Moscow Railway, train traffic has been complicated due to weather conditions. Adjustments to the schedule are now being introduced to reduce train intervals.

«On some sections of the Kazan and Gorky directions, local problems arose that led to delays of suburban trains toward Moscow. Due to a malfunction of the contact wire at Kurovskaya station, the departure of several suburban trains was delayed, which also affected MCD-3 intervals. At 08:21 the malfunction was fixed,» the agency stated.

In addition, according to the Moscow Railway, two trains: Petushki – Ochakovo and Petushki – Aprelevka were cancelled. Therefore, additional stops were made on the Gorky direction route for two express trains to transport passengers.

On the same morning, mass delays were recorded on MCD-2. This had also happened the day before. From 4:00 p.m., at least three trains were cancelled.

In Moscow on Tuesday, amid severe frosts, a large-scale disruption occurred in transport operations. People crowded on platforms and at stops and often could not board due to the large accumulation of passengers.
