Crash Involving Trucks, Cars Blocks Moscow Ring Road Traffic
Several vehicles collided at the 21st kilometer of the Moscow Ring Road.
A crash involving several trucks and passenger cars occurred on the 21st kilometer of the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) on the outer side, causing a major traffic backup. The city«s Department of Transport (Dеptrans) is advising drivers to bypass the scene of the accident. The Moscow City News Agency (AGN »Moskva«) reports that five lanes have been blocked but no one was injured.

Users of Yandex Maps are warning each other not to use this route. The traffic jam has already stretched for six kilometers.
«A serious accident, several cars, including trucks. I don»t advise driving on this road,« writes Muslim.
«Just filled up with gas, after this jam I»ll probably have to fill up again,« reasons Anton.
«For those stuck, there»s no way out,« concludes Gulya.
There is also a traffic jam on the inner side of the MKAD, though not as severe. The cause is unclear, but commenters joke that people are slowing down to look at the accident.
Yesterday, in southern Moscow, several trams got stuck in a traffic jam due to a broken wire. On the same day, another tram derailed and blocked the oncoming lane in the Sokolniki district.
