Testing of the new high-capacity bus has started on the streets of Chelyabinsk. This was announced on Monday, February 2, at a meeting in the city administration by Vice Mayor for Road Management and Digitalization Dmitry Ageev.
Route No. 4, where the new bus is being tested, runs from Lesoparkovaya to Mamina stops.

Dmitry Ageev stated: «The three-axle Volgabus bus is entering route No. 4 in test mode. We will check its characteristics, gather feedback from passengers to understand whether to take it into service or not.»
The vice mayor noted that the 14.5-meter-long bus offers even more seats than the articulated buses («accordion buses») operating on route No. 64. The test sample, finished in factory blue without the city«s green livery, will be highly visible on the road.
According to Volgabus, the city bus model, created in the fall of 2025, can be equipped with 51 to 55 seats. The presence of a third axle not only improves maneuverability but also helps reduce the load on the road surface.
