Case Opened Over Snowy Roads in European Bank
In Novosibirsk, a rut has formed on the road on Vladimir Zarovny Street in the European Bank microdistrict. According to locals, it is difficult to drive from the supermarket on Bolshevistskaya Street to the exit onto 2nd Obskaya Street. Residents are also unhappy with the snowdrifts on parking lots. NGS asked the city administration and the developer why this happened.
A resident of the complex explained that in previous years, the management company Brusnika helped the municipality clear the road, but now they have stopped doing so. Also, a lot of snow has accumulated in the microdistrict.
The city hall press center told NGS that the Municipal Institution (MKU) «Oktyabrskoye» and contractor organizations are responsible for maintaining the road network in the area. The technical specifications for snow removal are adjusted depending on road and weather conditions. Deviations from the planned schedule are possible. The city hall added that Bolshevistskaya Street and Vladimir Zarovny Street are being cleared as scheduled.
According to the city administration, Bolshevistskaya Street was cleared of snow on 23 and 25 January, and Vladimir Zarovny Street on 23 and 24 January.
«Currently, MKU «Oktyabrskoye» has entered into municipal contracts for loading, snow removal, road grading, and operation of front-end loaders, so the district«s snow removal will be reinforced with additional equipment,» the city hall reported.
The press service of the Brusnika group confirmed to NGS that MKU «Oktyabrskoye» is responsible for maintaining roads in European Bank. For its part, the management company helps clear the streets as much as possible.
«Previously, we cleared this road regularly at our own expense. Now, due to heavy snowfall, the management company«s resources are deployed within the microdistrict, and we have no capacity to clear the road,» Brusnika reported.
NGS also sent a request to the regional prosecutor«s office regarding complaints about snow removal. The agency reported that an administrative case has been opened against the director of MKU »Oktyabrskoye«.
Recently, NGS reported that the prosecutor«s office found violations in road snow removal in Novosibirsk»s Oktyabrsky District.
