Blizzard Paralyzes M-4 Don Highway: Driver Videos
A blizzard continues to intensify on the M-4 «Don» highway in the Rostov region, leading to traffic jams and disruptions. On certain sections, heavy trucks cannot overcome ascents due to snow drifts. Specialists recommend drivers avoid travel in this region at least until February 3.

«Drivers, the section between Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and Shakhty is the most difficult for this kind of snow; there are many ascents. Trucks can no longer climb them. Even if you have all-wheel drive and good tires, you won«t get through because of the stuck heavy trucks. There»s a high chance the situation of 2023 will repeat itself. Back then, the highway beyond Kamensk was paralyzed for a day. Postpone trips in this direction, and those already on the road, stop for the night. It«s better to wait out the blizzard in warmth than in cars on a snow-blocked highway.»
