Authorities seize land for second bypass construction

The second bypass around Tyumen is set to be integrated into the extensive M-12 «Vostok» highway.
The government of Tyumen Oblast has announced the seizure of three land plots on Moscow Highway. The editorial board of 72.RU familiarized itself with the document.
«For the implementation of the project »Construction of the Tyumen city ring road. Second transport ring,« three land plots are being seized for state needs,» as stated in the documents.
The land subject to seizure is located near the 10th kilometer of Moscow Highway, including buildings 1, 2, 14 and structure 5.
Construction of part of the second bypass will begin this year. Authorities have stated that the Southern Bypass of Tyumen will be completed by 2030. About 20 billion rubles (approximately $200 million at current rates) will be spent on the 20-kilometer road with several interchanges, with part of the funding provided by the federal government.
The road itself will become part of a major highway that will connect Tyumen and Moscow. This refers to the M-12, or as it is called in official documents, «Vostok» (East). In a separate article, we recalled the history of the construction of this highway, which will shorten the journey for motorists from Siberia to the capital.
