98-Octane Gasoline Leads Fuel Price Hike in Kuzbass

In Kemerovo Oblast (Kuzbass), gasoline prices have increased by 4 to 6.5 rubles (approx. $0.04–$0.07 at current rates) per liter over the past year. On Thursday, January 22, Kemerovostat reported that in 2025, only one type of fuel has decreased in price — compressed natural gas (CNG).

If at the beginning of the year, CNG at gas stations cost 30.76 rubles (about $0.32) per liter, now it is 27.48 rubles (about $0.29). The price drop amounted to 3.3 rubles (about $0.03).
Other types of fuel jumped in price: 92-octane (AI-92) gasoline rose by five rubles (about $0.05): it cost 53.09 rubles (about $0.56), now it is 58.62 rubles (about $0.62). 95-octane gasoline a year ago could be bought for 57.55 rubles (about $0.61), now its price is 63.16 rubles (about $0.66). The cost increase amounted to 5.6 rubles (about $0.06). 98-octane added 6.5 rubles per liter (about $0.07): from 77.48 rubles (about $0.82) to 83.92 rubles (about $0.88).
Diesel fuel became more expensive by four rubles (about $0.04): it was 71.77 rubles (about $0.76), now it is 75.73 rubles (about $0.80).
Earlier, an expert explained how fuel prices will change in 2026. Also, in the region, services related to car maintenance have risen significantly in price.
