2 killed in head-on crash with truck in Kurgan region
A Lada car collided with a Scania truck after the car's driver entered the oncoming lane at high speed, preliminary reports indicate.

In the Shchuchansky District today, a fatal traffic accident occurred on a highway, reports the press service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GAI) of the Russian Interior Ministry«s Directorate for the Kurgan Region.
Authorities report a fatal collision between a passenger car and a truck on a major regional highway.

On the 55th kilometer of the Chelyabinsk-Kurgan-Omsk-Novosibirsk highway, a collision occurred between a VAZ-2115 (Lada) and a Scania heavy truck.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the VAZ-2115 sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the inter-district hospital in Shchuchye. Two passengers died at the scene.
The GAI explains that, according to preliminary data, the accident occurred due to the fault of the Lada driver. He, despite unfavorable road conditions, was driving at high speed and entered the lane of oncoming traffic.
