12 Mobile Warming Points Opened on Don Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) has set up mobile points on key regional highways where drivers can warm up and wait out the bad weather.

Twelve mobile warming points have been deployed on roads in the Rostov region due to deteriorating weather conditions. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian EMERCOM for the region.

The assistance points for motorists are operating at the following locations:

Volgodonsk-Morozovsk highway;
1,000 km mark of the federal M-4 «Don» highway;
316 km mark of the R-260 highway;
983 km mark of the M-4 «Don»;
929 km mark of the M-4 «Don»;
216 km mark of the R-260;
1,014 km mark of the M-4 «Don»;
1,056 km mark of the M-4 «Don»;
1,086 km mark of the M-4 «Don»;
82 km mark of the R-280 highway;
52 km mark of the R-280;
853 km mark of the M-4 «Don».

At these points, travelers have access to hot tea, a chance to warm up, the ability to charge mobile devices, and a place to wait for road conditions to improve.

The operational situation on the highways is under control. Five fire and rescue garrison groups are on duty in 15 municipalities of the region. Monitoring is carried out using 67 surveillance cameras installed on the roads.

According to meteorologists, complex weather phenomena, including blizzards, ice, and wet snow accumulation, will be observed in the Rostov region at least until January 26.
