In Yaroslavl Oblast, deteriorating weather is expected on the afternoon of 21 July. The regional directorate of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) warned of thunderstorms and strong winds.

According to the statement, local heavy rain and hail are possible. Wind gusts will reach 12–17 meters per second. The bad weather will last until 21:00 on 21 July.
«Due to adverse weather conditions, try not to stay near trees, power lines, or poorly secured structures, and avoid parking your personal vehicles near them,» the EMERCOM warning said.

The Yandex.Weather service reports that a thundercloud is approaching the region from Moscow. Precipitation will begin after noon, and by evening rain will cover the entire oblast.
According to the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, hot weather will persist in the region on 21 July: daytime temperatures up to +28 °C (82 °F). On the night of 22 July, rain is also expected, with temperatures dropping to +16 °C (61 °F).
Specialists from the Phobos weather center noted that local downpours will also occur in Moscow this week. However, no significant cooling is expected in the capital. «The temperature regime will be close to normal: +23…+25 °C (73–77 °F) with occasional cooling to +22 °C (72 °F) on Friday,» Phobos clarified.
