In Novosibirsk, heavy rain and thunderstorms with hail are expected from midday on July 20 through the end of the day, as well as on July 21 and 22. This was reported by the city administration, citing the Unified Duty Dispatch Service (EDDS).
«In the next hour and through the end of the day on July 20, as well as on July 21 and 22, heavy rain, thunderstorms, heavy downpours and large hail are expected in Novosibirsk, with wind strengthening to 22 m/s and squally winds of 25 m/s or more during thunderstorms,» the warning said.
Under such conditions, disruptions to communication and power lines, falling trees and poorly secured structures, roof tearing from buildings, flooding, and traffic accidents are possible.
