In gardening cooperatives in Sverdlovsk Oblast, heavy rains and hurricanes damaged crops and structures. Reporters visited the Yuzhny bus station in Yekaterinburg, where dacha owners were waiting for buses, and asked them about the condition of their gardens. Among the passengers were both optimists and pessimists.

A woman named Galina from Sukhoy Log shared: «I have a dacha in Sukhoy Log. I grow vegetables, various greens. Overall expectations for the harvest are not bad, but the potatoes are disappointing — everything rots due to the rain. Our dacha is on a hill, so major floods didn»t affect us. But my daughter has a poor harvest — their house is in Nevyansk, the potatoes are all black. And there are no mushrooms this year either.«

Similar situation in Bilimbay, Polevskoy, and other settlements. However, not all gardeners have lost hope. Svetlana from Arti noted: «In greenhouses, of course, conditions are better — cucumbers and tomatoes are not bad.»
Tamara from the village of Bisert said: «I have a dacha in the village of Bisert. I hope for good cucumbers and tomatoes. Cabbage, beets, all vegetables are generally not bad. But there will be no potatoes for anyone this year — hurricanes and rains hindered. There are many berries, but they are rotting: strawberries are all rotten, the berries are very watery. We had no flooding in the house; we live on a hill.»
The village of Kadnikovo was particularly hard hit. Tatyana reported that it was flooded, and people move around through a swamp. «The carrots just sprout — then it rains, and they fall over. You walk and your feet sink; there has never been a year like this!» she complains.
Another dacha owner, Galina from Gorny Shchit, said with annoyance: «Our dacha is in Gorny Shchit. There will be no harvest at all this year — everything is rotting: zucchini, berries, potatoes. Everything is completely flooded this year.»
Downpours continue to flood the beds, and many gardeners are suffering losses. Some hope for an improvement in the weather, but for now the forecasts are discouraging: a good harvest is not to be expected this season.
