Rospotrebnadzor Approves Swimming at Five Perm Beaches

The city beach in Perm is among the five approved swimming locations.
In Perm Krai, the number of officially approved swimming beaches has increased. According to the regional Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) as of July 17, five water recreation sites have received sanitary-epidemiological clearances.
Swimming is now officially allowed:
at the city beach in Tchaikovsky (Saygatsky Bay);
at the beach of the Demidkovo sanatorium;
at the city beach in Perm (right bank of the Kama near Kommunalny Bridge);
at the beach on the Sylva River in the village of Novye Lyady;
at the private beach «Verde» in Permsky District.
At the end of June, the sanitary-epidemiological clearance was issued only for the Demidkovo sanatorium beach. The other locations had not yet received permission to use the water bodies for swimming.
In total, 20 sites have been designated for recreation and swimming in Perm Krai. However, swimming is only allowed after obtaining a sanitary-epidemiological clearance confirming that the water and beach meet safety requirements.
Residents are advised to swim only at officially permitted beaches, not to swallow water during swimming, use bottled drinking water, follow personal hygiene rules, and pay attention to information boards displaying the latest water test results. Additionally, vacationers are advised to use repellents and not to bring pets to the beaches.
