We found out how much the most expensive and budget-friendly rooms cost at popular tourist spots in early August.

The cheapest double room on Olkhon Island can be rented for 5,000 rubles ($56) per night. This offer is currently available at the Olkhon Hotel in Khuzhir: the room has two single beds, nightstands, a dining table, TV, refrigerator, kettle, and Wi-Fi. The bathroom has a shower stall, toilet, and sink. This is the most affordable option until August 10.

The most expensive stay in Listvyanka is offered by Baikal Gran View. Accommodation in a cottage with all amenities will cost 23,500 rubles ($261) per night.
Last week, Vadim Kopylov, deputy chairman of the Sibirskaya Baikalskaya Assotsiatsiya Turizma (Siberian Baikal Tourism Association, SBTA), told IrCity that the summer tourist flow to Lake Baikal was seriously affected by the fuel crisis and the rather cool weather. The depth of bookings fell, and the tourism industry is working, as they say, «on the fly.» Nevertheless, with the stabilization of the situation on the market, tourists have actively headed to the main Baikal locations, including Olkhon: since about last week, queues have started to build up at the ferry crossing.
