Heavy Rain and Storms Expected in Kuzbass

The penultimate week of July will begin for Kuzbass residents with heavy rain and thunderstorms in many parts of the region. The NGS42.RU editorial team reviewed the updated forecast from the Kemerovo Hydrometeorological Center for Tuesday, July 21.

According to forecasters, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected overnight across Kuzbass, with temperatures around 13–18°C (55–64°F), and in some places not rising above 7°C (45°F). In the morning, fog is possible, and the thermometer will begin to rise to 24–29°C (75–84°F). Gusts of wind may reach up to 14 meters per second (31 mph).

According to the same forecast, residents of the regional capital (Kemerovo) should expect slight fluctuations from 14°C to 16°C (57–61°F) on the night of July 21. The day will be cloudy, but no rain is forecast, and during the day the streets will warm up to 27°C (81°F), with almost no wind.

In Novokuznetsk, forecasters promise variable cloudiness at night, but without precipitation, and temperatures will not drop below 14°C (57°F). By midday, the thermometer will rise to 28°C (82°F). High humidity is likely, but calm winds.

Earlier, the NGS42.RU editorial team reported that due to bad weather, several districts of Novokuznetsk were left without water and electricity.
