Evacuate! Flood Hits Ural Rublyovka

Floods and high water in Sverdlovsk Oblast have reached the Syasertsky District, known as the «Ural Rublyovka». Water levels in local rivers rose so high that an entire bridge was submerged. Dozens of homes and gardens were flooded.

«Because of the blocked bridge, gardens are flooding, water has entered homes where people live permanently. To our complaints, they simply reply, «Evacuate, we can»t help you,«» says our reader.

In the village of Dvurechensk, thrill-seekers attempted to cross the flooded bridge on an ATV, but the attempt failed. The men spent several hours trying to recover the vehicle from the water. Local residents complained that no one had maintained the bridge.

«This bridge has never been maintained; it is in terrible condition. Because of it, gardens are flooding. KAMAZ trucks full of gravel constantly drive over this bridge,» complains our reader.
