Chelyabinsk Rains Replaced by +31°C Heat
Chelyabinsk meteorologists have forecast that after prolonged downpours caused flooding, sunny and hot weather up to +31°C will set in starting July 23.

The forecast of sunny and hot weather after prolonged rains has delighted Chelyabinsk residents.

The prolonged rains in the Southern Urals, which caused flooding of residential buildings, are coming to an end. As reported on July 20 by the Chelyabinsk Hydrometeorological Center, they will be replaced by hot and sunny weather.
«At the beginning of the week, the Southern Urals will still be under the influence of a departing cyclone — the forecasters said. — In its wake, brief rains (0.3–14 mm) and stronger winds are expected in places — individual gusts up to 19 m/s. And starting July 23, a ridge of an anticyclone will set over the region — pressure will begin to rise, clouds will dissipate, the air will heat up intensively, and hot weather up to +30°C (86°F) and above will set in. The wind will calm down.»
However, total drought does not threaten the region. «Due to increased humidity, fog is possible at night and in the morning, and locally brief rains during the day,» the forecasters noted.
