Bashkortostan Flooded: Heavy Downpours Bring Weather Anomalies

Pedestrians prepare for puddles as heavy rain persists across the region.
After massive downpours, the heat persists in Bashkortostan, but precipitation will not diminish. According to the Bashkir Hydrometeorological Center, conditions are expected to worsen. Additionally, the north of the republic is suffering from rising rivers in the Kama region (Prikamye). UFA1.RU presents the forecast for today, 20 July.
Isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected across the republic. During the bad weather, winds will be gusty. Daytime air temperatures will reach 22–27°C (72–81°F). Forecasters separately warn that fog will form on some roads at night and in the morning, reducing visibility to 500 meters. During the day, visibility will be 1–2 kilometers.
The Bashkir Hydrometeorological Center also reports that on Friday, 17 July, heavy downpours hit the region: in Tuimazy (Tuymazy), 73 mm of precipitation fell in a day (the monthly norm for all of Bashkortostan), in Bakaly — 59 mm, in Ufa — 40 mm, in Verkhneyarkeyevo — 36 mm, in Kushnarenkovo — 34 mm, and in Pavlovka — 30 mm. No information was reported on the situation in the northern areas.
And there is something to talk about: the day before, on 19 July, three dozen plots were flooded in the village of Urshady, leaving a thousand people without drinking water. Two factors combined in this situation: a dam breach in Perm Krai and the overall heavy downpours.
