Bashkiria Tourists Slam Sol-Iletsk Salt Lakes Prices

Readers of UFA1.RU have shared their opinions on the Sol-Iletsk Salt Lakes, where a new pool was opened. The resort is located in Orenburg Oblast but is popular among tourists from neighboring regions, including Bashkortostan. However, many were surprised by the price — in a poll on our portal, 88% said that 1,000 rubles ($12) for a visit to the pool is too expensive.

«These prices will quickly drive customers away,» one visitor to our portal noted.

«I made the mistake of going, and was simply stunned by the so-called resort. For that kind of money, you«d be better off going anywhere else,» another added.

«We were there a week ago. In short, it«s an acquired taste — or rather, it depends on your wallet.
There»s practically no infrastructure, and there are so many people you can«t even spit without hitting someone. The shower only works half the time, there are no decent pathways, and there»s nowhere to hide from the sun. Considering how many people are there and the cost of 450 rubles ($5) per person, you start wondering where all that money is going,» a tourist wrote.

«The smell there is something else — I was there about 8 years ago. We stayed for 2–3 days, and that was enough to see it and never go back. There are even more people than at the Black Sea,» a reader said.

«As a child, I saw what kind of ailments people go into those lakes with, and after that I wouldn«t set foot in that dump,» another reader fumed.

However, some UFA1.RU readers note that the Salt Lakes are one of the best places for recreation and treatment.

«It«s true that the salt and therapeutic mud in the lakes help my legs, arthrosis, and other conditions. I went for 7 years in a row and ran around like a young woman. The healing effect lasts for a year. Then I need to come back to support my health again. Of course, the prices are sky-high!» a female tourist admitted.

«We were there for the first time a week ago. We really liked everything. Yes, it«s a bit pricey. But if you don»t like it, fly abroad where everything is all-inclusive. We«re delighted and plan to go again next year,» a resident of Bashkortostan said.

«We go every year, rent a house for a couple of days, and we«re happy with everything. If you don»t like it, don«t go,» another added.
