A third storm warning has been issued in Altai Krai until July 23, according to the regional Hydrometeorological Center.
In the coming days, the region will see heavy rain, thunderstorms, downpours, large hail, and squally winds of 17–22 m/s (38–49 mph). In places, gusts may reach 25 m/s (56 mph) or more.
Meanwhile, hot weather will persist in the region. On July 21, daytime temperatures will rise to 27–32°C (81–90°F). In Barnaul, temperatures of 28–30°C (82–86°F) are expected.
On July 22, temperatures in the region will be 25–30°C (77–86°F). In Barnaul, it will also be hot — 27–29°C (81–84°F).
The same weather will continue on July 23. Daytime temperatures in Altai Krai are forecast at 24–29°C (75–84°F). In Barnaul, the air will warm to 26–28°C (79–82°F).
