Abnormal Heat and Storms for Novosibirsk
Forecasters are predicting significant rainfall for the region.
In the third ten-day period of July, the average temperature in Novosibirsk Oblast will be +19…+22°C (66–72°F). This is 1–2 degrees above the norm, reported the West Siberian Hydrometeorological Service (Zapadno-Sibirskoye UGMS). In the east of the region, temperatures are expected to be near normal.
“The prevailing temperature at night will be +12…+19°C (54–66°F), and during the day +23…+29°C (73–84°F),” explained Tatyana Degtyareva, leading forecaster at the West Siberian Hydrometeorological Service.
Brief rains, downpours, and thunderstorms are expected on most days of the ten-day period.
Earlier it became known that inclement weather will arrive in Novosibirsk in the next three days. Residents should prepare for thunderstorms with hail and heavy downpours.
