Mole Burn, Botched Lips: Tyumen Cosmetic Service Victims

Residents of the Tyumen region often seek cosmetic services to enhance their appearance. Unfortunately, not all procedures are performed to a high standard. In 2025, there were several cases where residents were dissatisfied with the services and even suffered harm. This was reported to the 72.RU editorial team by the Tyumen branch of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing).
«The department received nine complaints regarding the provision of cosmetic and beauty services. Of these, three were related to refusal to refund money for unused procedures, and six complaints were due to defects found in the services provided,» explained Rospotrebnadzor health officials.
According to them, the complaints contained arguments based on the following circumstances:
receiving a burn from treatment of a mole on the shin;
unsatisfactory result from a lip augmentation procedure;
poor installation of implants;
poor acne treatment for a minor daughter of a consumer.
«In the remaining cases, consumer complaints were handled within the framework of existing powers. The applicants were given sample claim forms to file in court,» the agency concluded.
Earlier we wrote that in the pursuit of ideal beauty, women are sometimes willing to take risky actions. For example, turning to an unverified cosmetologist who promised seductively plump lips, quickly and without too many questions. The victims of such a cosmetologist were the heroines of the show «What Have I Done» (16+) on the Pyatnitsa TV channel. The girls faced severe consequences after being injected with an uncertified drug. One developed a large bump under her lip, and the other lost the ability to speak. Find more details here.
