The natural beauty trend has hit where no one expected – men’s fashion. Unlike women’s trends, where the focus is on natural hair thickness, shine, and nourishment that are not easy to achieve, for men it’s simple – baldness is in fashion. Let’s figure out what hair did wrong and what the ideal of male attractiveness looks like now.

Where the baldness trend came from

For a long time, baldness was considered almost a catastrophe. Men were told for years to cling to every strand, pour liters of lotions, make masks from eggs and mayonnaise, and if the situation was hopeless, a transplant was not a shame for public approval. But in 2026, the pendulum swung the other way.

The trend, called “baldmaxxing” (from English, meaning “maximally bald”), emerged as a natural protest against the boom of thick hair like Dima Malikov’s. Men just got tired of hiding under caps and wigs, endlessly checking the hairline in the mirror, and spending fortunes on pills with side effects.

Women also fueled the fire of love for baldness, albeit indirectly. The University of Pennsylvania conducted a study and found that bald men are perceived as more masculine, dominant, and strong. Although, to be honest, this has long been no secret – just look at the fan base of Jason Statham, Yura Borisov, or Gosha Kutsenko.

Which baldness is fashionable in 2026

Men should not relax yet. Grooming and neatness still matter. Walking around with a receding hairline will not be considered stylish. It is important that the bald head looks aesthetically pleasing and natural.

What’s in fashion is a perfectly smooth head or an ultra-short buzz cut. No extravagant hairstyles with mohawks, leaving braids on the sides, or other experiments. The main thing is not to forget SPF cream to avoid burns and redness on the skin.
