In Moscow, at Tatiana Navka«s ice arena, the Russian jump championship began. It saw the return of Kamila Valieva, who served a doping disqualification, and Alexandra Trusova (Ignatova), who gave birth to a son.

Valieva performed a solo quadruple toe loop, a cascade of triple lutz and salchow, a solo triple lutz with a flaw, and a triple flip. For her jumps, she received 29.28 points, placing fourth.

“I want to say a huge thank you to all the fans who believed in me. Hurray. Finally, I«m here,” the athlete said during a break.

Kamila Valieva received a ban after the doping scandal at the 2022 Olympics. From December 25, 2025, she is allowed to compete.

Alexandra Trusova jumped a cascade of triple lutz and salchow, then a triple flip, and attempted to add an ultra-c, but it turned into a triple lutz. She did not advance to the semifinal.

The skater also took a break in her career, but for a different reason; on August 6, 2025, she gave birth to a son.

First place among women went to Alisa Dvoeglazova, second to Maria Zakharova, third to Dina Khusnutdinova.

The tournament will continue tomorrow. Among men, first place is held by Vladislav Dikidzhi.

Earlier, honored USSR coach called the return of Trusova and Valieva to big sport a historical moment. In her opinion, childbirth should not have put an end to figure skating, as it is not a major operation, but “simply gave birth to a child.”
