Trilistnik Sports Palace Construction in Gelendzhik Postponed for a Year
The construction of the multifunctional Trilistnik sports and wellness complex in Gelendzhik, which will become part of the «City of Sports» sports cluster, has been pushed back by another year.
Initially, the facility was planned to be commissioned in 2028. The complex was conceived as one of the resort«s key sports venues—with a swimming pool, halls for gymnastics and martial arts, and stands for nearly 2,000 spectators.
As follows from the response of the Krasnodar Krai construction department to a query from the portal 93.RU, the commissioning date for the FOC (fitness and wellness center) has been officially moved from 2028 to 2029.
The department explained that the postponement is related to the regional budget deficit and cost optimization provided for by the law on the krai budget for 2026 and the planning period of 2027–2028.
Currently, the facility is at the design stage. A state contract has been concluded between the State Institution «Main Construction Department of Krasnodar Krai» and JSC «Group of Companies EKS» for engineering surveys, development of design and working documentation, as well as an information model.
The general director and founder of JSC «Group of Companies EKS» is Alexei Vlasov. Among the implemented projects are the multifunctional sports complex «Swimming Pool» in Krasnodar, and the presidential lyceum based on the «Sirius» educational center in Sochi. According to 2023 data, revenue: 111.6 billion rubles (approximately $1.24 billion at current rates), net profit—3.357 billion rubles (approximately $37.3 million at current rates).
Work on the project must be completed by December 30, 2026, after which the documents will be sent for state expertise.
Accordingly, construction and installation work at the Trilistnik site has not yet begun. It is planned to start them after the completion of design and obtaining all necessary approvals. Specific start dates for the work will be determined later.
«Budget parameters will be adjusted if the expertise reveals the need for changes,» added the department.
The final cost of the complex has not yet been approved. The department noted that the estimate will be formed after passing state expertise, and budget parameters may be adjusted if necessary. At the same time, the maximum volume of budget investments for the implementation of the project is set at 4.83 billion rubles (approximately $53.7 million at current rates) (without changes).
Changing the architectural concept or functional filling of the complex is not planned—the design solutions remain the same.
Recall that 96.9 million rubles (approximately $1.08 million at current rates) were allocated for design documentation and the BIM model. The customer is the State Institution «Main Construction Department of Krasnodar Krai».
The architectural concept was developed by the company Masterplan together with «Architectural Heritage» and the design and construction firm «LIK» from Rostov Oblast.
