Torpedo Suffers Third Consecutive Defeat to Salavat Yulaev

HC Torpedo from Nizhny Novgorod lost to Ufa«s Salavat Yulaev in an away match on January 31. This is the third consecutive defeat.
The match ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the opponents. The only goal for the Nizhny Novgorod team was scored in the second period by Kirill Svishchev.
«We had three different periods. At first, we were a bit asleep, and that»s more a question for ourselves. Then we tried to impose our game, but penalties came, and they knocked us out of rhythm. In the game, everyone had good chances. Salavat Yulaev took theirs and won,« commented the head coach of the Nizhny Novgorod club, Alexei Isakov.
Last Wednesday, January 28, HC Torpedo lost to Cherepovets« Severstal, and on Monday — to Sibir. Before that, the Nizhny Novgorod team had a series of six victories. Twice during the week they defeated the current KHL champion.
Recently, goaltender Ivan Kulbakov left Torpedo: he went to Vladivostok to play for HC Admiral. In the Nizhny Novgorod club, the player spent four years and admitted that during this time he managed to become one family with the team.
