The hockey players of Nizhny Novgorod«s Torpedo secured their second consecutive victory in the away series. Today, February 4, they played against Amur from Khabarovsk.

The match ended with a score of 2–1 in favor of our team. In the second period, Vasily Atanasov scored a goal into the opponent«s net, and in the third, Igor Geraskin doubled the advantage.

A couple of days earlier, on February 2, the Nizhny Novgorod hockey players snatched a victory over Admiral. They defeated the club from Vladivostok with a score of 3–2. Thus, Torpedo returns home from the Far East with the maximum number of points.

«I congratulate the team and the fans on the victory, it was very difficult for us today. Besides the fact that we made small mistakes that allowed the opponent to get back into the game at the end, we also had moments in the first half that we were very unhappy with. The game was absolutely even, both teams could have taken the initiative. It»s good that we managed to score. I would highlight our play on the rush,« commented the club»s head coach Alexei Isakov.

Earlier, Governor Gleb Nikitin commented on the success of the Nizhny Novgorod hockey players. In his opinion, HC Torpedo is ready to aim for the Gagarin Cup.
