Former Rostov forward Eldor Shomurodov has been awarded the title of best footballer of Uzbekistan for 2025.
This is the third such award in the player«s career — he previously won in 2019 and 2021.
Currently, Shomurodov plays for the Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir and leads the Turkish championship scoring list with 14 goals and 4 assists.
As a child, the footballer picked cotton and dreamed of playing for Chelsea.
In the summer of 2026, he will play for the Uzbekistan national team at the World Cup.
