The defeat leaves Rostov with 34 points in the VHL standings after the home game against Khimik.
Hockey club Rostov lost at home to Voskresensk Khimik with a score of 1-4 in the VHL.
The first period ended 0-0. The start of the second segment went to the guests — at the 24th minute, Pavel Kukshtel opened the scoring. In the third period, the situation repeated, but this time Khimik scored two goals — 3-0.
In the final part of the match, the teams exchanged goals. The Condors tried to come back, but failed to do so. The match ended with Rostov«s defeat — 1-4.
«Another failure at the start of the third period decided everything. The grossest errors. With such an opponent, you can»t make such mistakes. If we need ten chances to score, the opponent needs two. A skillful team. In principle, then we tried to change the game somehow: changed lines, goalie… Seemed to move a bit, created chances, but, unfortunately, without goals it«s hard to win. Created chances, in principle. Not bad chances. Need to convert. The attackers today played another faceless game,» summarized Rostov head coach Grigory Panteleyev.
On February 2, Rostov will play against Moscow Zvezda at the Sports Palace.
