The Russian Tennis Federation announced the death of Vladimir Kamelzon without specifying the cause. The organization called him an outstanding coach and organizer whose name has been inscribed in the history of Russian tennis for decades. Condolences were expressed to the family and friends of Vladimir Naumovich.
Kamelzon was a Master of Sports of the USSR, an all-Union category referee, and an honored coach of the USSR, Russia, and the Ukrainian SSR. He worked with national teams and served on the governing bodies of tournaments such as the ATP St. Petersburg Open, WTA St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy, and the Trophies of the Northern Palmyra. He was also one of the founders of the children«s tennis school Belokamennaya.
