Flight Over? Krylia Sovetov Plans to Be Declared Bankrupt

The Samara football club Krylia Sovetov risks facing serious problems again. This can be inferred from a message published on the website of the unified federal registry «Fedresurs».
Representatives of LLC «RT-Kapital» have published a notification that could put an end to the team«s future. They reported their readiness to apply to the arbitration court with a petition to declare JSC »PFC Krylia Sovetov« insolvent (bankrupt).
This appeal by the «daughter» company of Rostec to arbitration could be the third in the past year. In January 2025, LLC «RT-Kapital» demanded that the club return almost a billion rubles (approximately $10 million at current rates).
According to the plaintiffs, the main repayment deadline expired back in 2016. For several years, the parties managed to negotiate, but in the end, the creditors went to court.
To partially repay the debt, the House of Industry was put up for sale. A new owner for the building was found not without difficulty. The auction was won by LLC «PenzaTrakServis» with a bid of 320 million rubles (about $3.2 million at current rates). This money went towards repaying the debt to «RT-Kapital».
According to representatives of Krylia Sovetov, they have already managed to pay almost half — 535 million rubles (approximately $5.35 million at current rates). By February 1, 2026, the club plans to transfer the remainder to the creditors. These deadlines were stated by the chairman of the board of directors of the team, Dmitry Yakovlev.
The huge debt of Krylia Sovetov almost cost them their place in the Russian Premier League. The club risked being relegated from the championship, despite the season«s results. As a result, the Russian Football Union (RFU) imposed restrictions on the team. During two transfer windows (summer and winter), they were prohibited from buying football players.
The second lawsuit to the Moscow arbitration was sent by representatives of «RT-Kapital» at the beginning of 2026. Now they demand almost 145 million rubles (about $1.45 million at current rates) from the club. For now, preparation for the process is underway, and it is not ruled out that the parties may reach an agreement.
Meanwhile, representatives of Krylia Sovetov have already commented on the statement by «RT-Kapital» demanding that the club be declared bankrupt.
«To date, the company »RT-Kapital« has only declared its intention to recognize »Krylia« as bankrupt. We are acting within the framework of the developed plan and will close the remaining debt obligations to »RT-Kapital« before the plaintiff applies to the court with the corresponding petition,» stated the chairman of the club«s board of directors, Dmitry Yakovlev, in a conversation with »Championat«.
Despite possible financial problems, Krylia Sovetov are preparing for upcoming games in the championship and the country«s cup. In the first decade of March 2026, the team under Magomed Adiyev will play three matches. On March 1, the Samara team will play away against Moscow»s Dynamo. Almost immediately, the Volga region team will return home to meet Orenburg in the Russian Cup on March 4. And on March 8, on the field of the Solidarnost Samara Arena stadium, the football players will meet with Dynamo, but this time from Makhachkala.
