Erakovic Nears Exit from Zenit

Zenit head coach Sergei Semyak confirmed that defender Strahinja Erakovic may leave the club. The Serbian footballer is already in talks with other teams.

Sergei Semyak stated that there is interest in the 25-year-old defender from other clubs, and a transfer option is currently being discussed.

Erakovic recently missed a training session along with Aleksandr Yerokhin and Luis Enrique. While the latter two were given extra time for family reasons and are returning to the team, the situation with the Serbian player is different.

“We are waiting for his decision and the club’s decision,” the coach was quoted as saying by Zenit’s press service on January 30.

Strahinja Erakovic has been playing for the Petersburg club since the summer of 2023. In the current season, he has played 19 matches in all tournaments, providing one assist. The defender’s contract runs until the summer of 2027, and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is 7.5 million euros.
